Obituary For Richard F. Durand
Survivors include his loving wife of 68 years, Marguerite Durand and his 5 children, Richard (Sandra), Michael (Hilda), Elizabeth (Craig) Cesco, Christine (Matthew) Herrera, Andrew Durand, 13 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren and his brother Arthur (Joan) Durand of Fall River, MA and many nieces and nephews.
He was a devoted member of St. Edward Catholic Church. With his wife, he devoted his time ministering engaged couples and being active in Marriage Encounter. He volunteered at Newark Senior Center, Kaiser Hospital and Oakland A’s. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also served 7 years in the U.S. Navy Reserves - SeaBees Division.
