In Loving Memory of Bonnie Ochsenfeld

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Ochsenfeld, a remarkable mother, wife, sister, and grandmother. Bonnie, born in Canton, Ohio, on August 7, 1951, to Lois and Jack Burleson and embarked on her final journey on October 31, 2023. She was united in matrimony with her devoted husband, Donald Ochsenfeld on June 14, 1969, and together, they shared a lifetime of love and unwavering commitment until his passing on March 25, 2016.

The bonds of family were deeply cherished throughout her life, and she was a source of strength and unwavering support for her family and friends. Her legacy lives on through her three children: Cherie Ochsenfeld of Raleigh, North Carolina, Barry Ochsenfeld of Fremont, California, and David Ochsenfeld of Fremont, California who brought immense joy to her life. Her three grandchildren: Amelia Sparkman, Abby Ochsenfeld, and Peyton Ochsenfeld, held a special place in her heart, and she treasured every moment spent with them.

In 1977, Bonnie and Donald embarked on a new adventure, moving to the beautiful state of California. There, Bonnie pursued her passion for nursing, obtaining her BSN at Cal State East Bay. She dedicated a substantial portion of her career as a pediatric nurse at Washington Hospital, where her compassionate care and dedication touched the lives of countless young patients. Later in her career, she transitioned to the role of a medical case manager, continuing her invaluable contributions to healthcare and the well-being of others.
