Obituary For Anil Jacob

A Kaleidoscope of Joy and Creativity, Anil was a vibrant soul, known for his free-spirited nature, boundless creativity, and an unparalleled zest for life that inspired everyone he met.

Anil leaves behind a tapestry of relationships — his beloved parents P.M. Jacob and Mary Jacob, cherished wife Evangelene, apple of his eye Ria and a circle of friends and family too vast to name but deeply felt in his absence.

Born on May 25th 1971 in Hyderabad, India, Anil was a vibrant force from the outset, a spirit unbound by conventional paths who found joy and meaning in diverse pursuits. From the canvas to the kitchen, from the quiet of an art studio to the roar of a sports field, and the rhythms of the tabla, Anil lived multiple lifetimes in one, each facet reflecting his boundless energy and zest for life.

A true friend, a beloved family member, and a mentor to many, Anil's life is a reminder to live life fully, love deeply, and laugh often. He showed us that the world is a canvas to our imagination and that our lives can be a masterpiece of our making. Anil painted the canvas of life with broad strokes of passion, kindness, and a dash of whimsy, evident from one of the last messages he sent to the neighborhood group chat on the day he left us ... " I whip out my world famous kabsa and garlic bread ". He approached every day as an opportunity to create beauty, whether through his art, his words, or simply his presence. Anil's departure leaves behind a void that can never be filled, but his spirit will forever inspire us to embrace life with all its hues, to find beauty in the everyday, and to live with our hearts wide open.

A Celebration of Anil's life will be held on Friday, March 1st, at Fremont Chapel of The Roses, where we will gather to share stories, tears, and laughter, just as he would have wanted.

Condolences

I only just met Anil through the Slack community for former Salesforce employees. Even though we had just met, he was so nice and helpful. We met up in San Francisco earlier this year, where he treated me to lunch. We chatted about work and family, he gave me financial advice, and he offered to keep in touch to pass on investing tips he learned on his own. Even though I didn't know him very well, I was struck by the kindness of a relative stranger. People as inherently kind and friendly as him are rare and precious. I'm glad to have met him, and I offer my deepest condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones. He was a good man. May he rest in peace.

Dear Eva and Ria, We remember the time you all visited us in Portland in April 2022. Anil was his usual self, joyful. We were happy that Anil liked the cake Preeti made for you guys so much that he packed some for the road:-) He later messaged saying the cake was '1st class'. Anil and I were class mates at Manipal for many years, and I was fortunate to have him as a friend and ally (sat next to each other) in making the best of many boring classroom sessions. I can say that we (friends from Manipal) will remember him fondly. Sharing our love and prayers - Augustine & Family.

I am Abraham Varughese, Anil's Engineering College mate from Manipal. We both lived in the same 'First Block' building during our first year in the college. Anil was a humble, gentle hearted young man. It was with great shock that I heard the news of the untimely passing away of Anil last Sunday morning. Anil will be in our memories. I express my heartfelt condolences and prayers for Anil's wife, children, friends and relatives at these very difficult times. As St Paul says in 2 Timothy, I say for Anil that ''I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. From now on there is reserved for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will give me on that day, and not only to me but also to all who have longed for his appearing.'' See you in eternity. May Alimighty God console all. With prayers, Abraham Varughese
