Obituary For Stanley âStanâ Lewis
Stanley “Stan” Lewis was born on October 11, 1927 in Niles, CA and entered into rest on October 20, 2019 in Fremont, CA at the age of 92.
Preceded by wife Doreen Lewis and two sons Don and Kenneth Lewis. Survived by children, Linda Hanson and husband Bill, Donna Zierten, and Joe Lewis. Grandchildren, Shannon, Erica, Bryan, Jason, Jeffrey, and Molly. Great Grandchildren, Shea, Tim, Donald, Claire, Brendan, Rylee, Ethan, and Emily.
Stan served in the US Navy November 1945 to August 1946. Stan’s first job was volunteer as a fireman/policeman for the new incorporated city of Fremont in 1956. Then he got hired on as a full time fireman. He retired as the Captain of the Fremont Fire Department after 27 years. Stan was one of the first full time firemen in Fremont. He was a member of “The Walkers” for over 30 years around Lake Elizabeth rain or shine, S.I.R.S, Washington Township Men’s Club, and a longtime member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday, November 14, 2019, 10AM at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 37588 Fremont Blvd, Fremont.
