Obituaries

Rosie Sarabia passed away on February 23rd, 2021, in her home in Fremont. She was 73 years young.

She will be with the Lord and those she loves that have passed before her. Mother/Father, Vincenta and Pancho Sarabia. Sisters, Phyllis Sarabia, and Isabel Sarabia. Brothers, John, Marcelino, and Walter Sarabia. Niece, Stephanie Day.

She leaves behind her loving memory with sisters, Mary Sarabia and Annie Day. Sister in-laws Valarie Sarabia and Evonne Phelps. Brother in- law, Steve Day. Niece/Nephews, Isabel Sarabia, Maureen Day, Scott Day, Jerimiah Sarabia, Rick Day, Amanda Day, Mark, Marty, and Marlene Sarabia. Great niece/nephews, Alexis and Abby Day, Scott II and A.J. Day, and Gavin Sarabia.

Rosie was a happy, smiling soul with a quick wit and a great sense of humor, always ready to sneak in a quick joke.

She loved her family and loved being with them and always enjoyed every kiss and hug she got.

She loved her church as well. Always complementing the people there and always being grateful for their kindness and their coffee. She enjoyed going out to eat, her word games, puzzles, and coloring books. It was always a great highlight for her when she could take a trip to Reno. Always had a good time but not always lucky. One quirky thing was she had a great deal of knowledge about space and Greek mythology, topics that she had long conversations with her brother John about.

She saw the good in everyone and enjoyed talking to all she met. We know the Lord, and those she will see once again, will take great care of her. We will miss her every day, but will keep her in our thoughts, prayers and in our hearts always.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 – 1:00 PM, Friday, March 5, 2021 with a Chapel Service at 1:00 PM, Fremont Chapel of the Roses, 1940 Peralta Blvd., Fremont.
