Obituaries

Born on December 8th, 1921 in Del Rio, TX, and entered into rest on July 4th, 2015 in San Leandro, CA at the age of 93. Survived by his children: Tim Morales, Freddy Morales (Gloria), Gloria Morales-Alvarez (Eleazar), and Estela Morales-Abarca (Arturo); 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Antonia Morales in 2007, daughter Cristina Morales, and son Arthur Morales.

Felipe Morales grew up as a rancher in Texas, and Mexico before moving to California and joining the laborer's union. He enjoyed cooking, watching sports, dancing, and singing to music. He also loved spending time with his large family. He will be dearly missed by all.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 9th, from 5-8pm with a Vigil at 7pm at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 703 C St., Union City, CA 94587. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July 10th, 10am at the church. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Hayward, CA.
