Obituary For Agnes Bobo

Nancy McCracken was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1928, the only daughter of Jeanie and Robert McCracken. Nancy and her family spent the years 1931 through 1947 living on Howe Street in Edinburgh.

Nancy met a handsome young American pilot, Robert Keith Bobo, when Keith was visiting Edinburgh as a United States Air Force (USAF) officer, at the end of WWII.

After a brief romance, Nancy and Keith were married in Reed City, Michigan in 1947. Their daughter Bonnie was born in 1948 and a son Terry was born in 1950.

As a military family they traveled the world and lived in Japan, Seattle, Maine, New York, Alabama, and Virginia before their daughter and son went off to college. Nancy and Keith were then assigned to Pennsylvania; Izmir, Turkey (NATO); Norfolk, Virginia; and a final assignment in Colorado Springs at NORAD in Cheyenne Mountain.

Nancy was an excellent cook, homemaker, bridge player, golfer, bowler and friend to the many people she met in her travels. She hosted many dinner parties for military dignitaries around the world. And she loved butterflies. If you received a note from her it would always have a butterfly somewhere on the card or envelope.

Nancy and Keith lived in Colorado Springs for over 30 years.

Nancy passed away on March 10, 2014 at Union City, California in the care of her family, at the age of 85. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Keith, in March of 2005. Nancy is survived by daughter, Bonnie Gallup and son, Terry Beaubois; son-in-law, Joe Gallup and granddaughters: Megan Gallup and Elizabeth Beaubois, all residing in California.

Nancy and Keith will be united at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, Colorado.
