Obituaries

Our beloved Mother peacefully passed away on April 1, 2024. She was born in Gumbinnen and grew up in Krumbach, Germany, where she was a bookkeeper for a local brewery. She came to California in 1959. She worked for several different companies before retiring from Raychem Tyco. She lived most of her life in Fremont and spent her retirement years in Livermore.

She proudly became a U.S. citizen on September 24, 1996. She enjoyed cooking, entertaining her family, volunteering at the Livermore Community Center, taking walks with her family and with friends from the Senior Center and going to the ocean. She loved nature and said Fall was her favorite season because she loved to see the colors of the leaves change. Most of all, she loved being with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Berta; Brother Otto; Sisters Hannelore, Anna Marie, Hilda, and Trudi; and Son-in-Law Ronald Chavez. She is survived by her Sister Renate; Daughters Monica Moschetti and Debbie Borden; Son-in-Law Steve Borden; Grandchildren Steven Borden Jr., Daniel Chavez, Brandy Borden and Great Grandchildren; Jack Borden, Gabriella Chavez and Joseph Duarte. She also has many Nieces and Nephews and extended family who reside in Germany.

Our hearts are broken but know that she is at peace with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Services are being privately held.
