It's not only that Marija was elegant, talented, gracious and lovely. We also loved her kindness, generosity, creativity and warm heart. The world has lost a great light, and we all have lost a cherished friend...

Marija was a warm and truly beautiful person. Frances and I first met her when she was the "cat lady" at the Feline Inn. When we met a second time we recognized that she had so many wonderful qualities that I later asked her to consider helping me take care of Frances. She accepted and thus began a long relationship where we grew to love her and consider her a member of our family. She was a true friend. After Frances died, Marija continued to check in on me (and my animals) and I was saddened when she and Jeljko moved to California. I am sick at heart that she is gone. We have all lost one of the good ones. James R. Smith Colonel, USA-Ret Albuquerque

Marija was one of the sweetest, kindest, and loving friends I have ever had. I will miss her so very, very, much and will remember her always. We shared so many wonderful thoughts and times. Zeljko and Harvey will be in my life forever and me in theirs. Sharing so many memories always. I will always love you Marija. Watch over me now, in my trying time. Terry

Marija was a beautiful soul and loved all. She loved her cats here at Canine Country Club and Feline Inn. The moment she left she was missed and still is. Blessings to her now that she is with God and blessings to her family. Joann

She was a wise and profound woman and faithful friend to my parents. She was gifted by God for people and animals as well. So elegant was her servant's heart, that she called my elderly mother...."My Lady". She was truly my mother's only companion when my father was not busy meeting her daily needs. How she uplifted my father and shared his heavy burden until my mother died. Thank you Zeljko for sharing her. My sympathies to you for losing her so young!

I'm sending a yellow candle for the wonderful friendship we shared working together at the Feline Inn. We also remained friends even though our lives moved us in different directions. She is gone but will never be forgotten! With Deepest Sympathy To The Family Marietta & Joe Ridsdale

Twenty years ago when I first met Marija and Zeljko as a foreign student at UNM (from Croatia) I could never imagine that I would be so lucky to have them as friends. At times and over the years I felt like Marija was my second mother away from home. Always, so very caring, listening to me and giving me the best advice. She loved life and I will cherish every moment we spend together. She was such a sweetheart and a loving friend. I will miss you... Anita Doornbos
