Vania Ko Chooi Ngo departed peacefully to her eternal home on May 31, 2017 at age 70 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Singapore, she had been a resident of Milpitas, California for 35 years where she lived with her loving husband Moon Seng Kok. Chooi Ngo and Moon Seng, both engineers, first met while working at Hewlett Packard. Chooi Ngo is dealy missed by her husband Moon Seng, her brothers (4), sisters (6), numerous nephews, nieces, her dearest neighbor next door Fanny and Johnny and children who had become as family to her, and she will be fondly missed by her close friends in Singapore, United States and elsewhere who remember her many accomplishments in many fields, academic and artistic. Chooi Ngo is a talented Chinese brushwork artist, a classical pianist and licensed practitioner in acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine. She proved to be an avid lifelong learner as shortly after retiring from her 35 year career at Hewlett Packard, she enrolled to take up a rigorous studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine and excelled despite being many years older than her peers in the course. For relaxation she loved nature walks and scenic spots. Yosemite Park, Niagara Falls and the cherry blossom (Sakura) season in Japan were on her frequent favorite travel itinerary. Moreover before she fell ill she made annual trips to Singapore to visit the family she loves back home.
